The Institute for Occupational, Social and Environmental Medicine enables further education to become a specialist in occupational medicine.

The continuing education period for the ‘Specialist in Occupational Medicine’ is 60 months at a training institution, of which 24 months in areas of direct patient care and 36 months in occupational medicine (WBO ÄK M-V of 29 June 2020). The further training authorisation for this is available at the institute. During the training period, 360 hours of further training must be completed. The Institute works together with occupational health facilities in the region within the framework of a network arrangement.
